I know many bloggers have posted about guild recruitment strategies in the past and I have found many very informative but neglected to save the links. My guild is starting recruiting for ICC 10 and 25s and would welcome any tips on the best way to go about recruiting or links to blogs/articles with recruiting strategies. The guild is Gardeners of Gilneas on Runetotem - US (Alliance) A link to our Wow forum post forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=23425591412&sid=1Any critiques of the post cheerfully accepted.

I suppose it all comes down to what you want to achieve with your recruitment and what your guild is about. We raid (and love it), but people fitting in personality wise in the guild and being part of guild chat, forums etc is very important. You can (most of the time) teach someone the finer points of raiding, but you cannot teach them to be a nice person. So we had a think about what kind of people we want and who we are "competing" with for recruits. What we realised was that most of the guilds that were about the same progression place as us were selling themselves very similarly as the more progressed guilds (I am desperately trying to avoid the word hardcore 'cause it is so ambiguous). So we decided to go down a completely different route with our recruitment post to show that we are a different breed of guild. Enter this: [a href=" forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=8638414740&sid=1"] forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=8638414740&sid=1[/a] We've had a few apps (even server transfers) both on the social and raiding side from it, even though we haven't updated the main post with our progress or change to 25-man raiding. Sometimes it it can pay to stand out from the crowd. :-)
