After getting a general thumbs up consensus in the previous LFG ! post, I'm hereby taking the leap of faith to Look For A Guild.
*Wall of Text crit incoming*
What I have to offer as a person:
a friendly, social (duh..) dutch gal, who loves to chat with people, loves helping people with all their issues (which has led me to end up as the "shoulder to cry on"-person), likes helping out with organizational stuff to a fault (I tend to get too involved sometimes), and is not afraid to talk on vent. I sometimes care too much, and im a people-pleaser.
What I have to offer as a wow-player:
4,5 years of experience as a semi-hardcore raider on an on-and-off basis, 3,5 years of officering experience, 6 months-1 year of (co)Gm-ing experience.
I have 3 level 80 characters and a string of alts. I have raiding experience on 2 of these characters.
My main/ex-main is an assasination rogue with about 4 years of raiding experience. He's seen the insides of dungeons and bosses alike in ZG, MC, AQ20/40, BWL, KARA, ZA, SSC, TK, Gruul, Maggy, Naxx, Ony40/10/25, Obs, Maly, Uld, and ToC. All of these cleared or near cleared. He's never gotten his daggers dirty in ICC tho.
My "main" Alt which i had server transferred is a lovely draenai resto/elem shaman. She's seen the first wing and downed the first bosses in ICC25, and has seen previous action in ToC where she was one of the healing leads. Anything below ToC she's only been in a few times. She's been on non-active status since october/november, and has set foot in ICC25 once in January...
My 3rd alt and newest "squee!" is my prot warrior, who's probably ready gear wise for ICC10, but is terrified of tanking a raid, since he's never had a chance to get his hands dirty (yet) in a raid setting (except a weekly obs and patchwork...)
What I'm looking for in a guild:
First of all, I'm looking for an EU-Alliance guild. I can afford a server transfer, but not a server + faction transfer.
Secondly I'm looking for a mainly 10-man casual raiding guild. I've done my time as a hardcore raider in 40-mans, 25-mans, etc, and i'm fed up with it. The drama and tension that (can) ensue in larger guilds has done my head in.
Im looking for a guild that does 10-mans as their focus, where i can raid 1x or 2x a week. I would be ok with 25-mans as well though, but i like 10-mans more, due to the more cozy/intimate feeling.
I'm definately not looking for a guild where 3-4x a week is a requirement. I don't have the time, will or motivation for that anymore.
I'm looking for a guild that does ICC, but still does the older raids as well for fun or alts. I LIKE ToC, I LIKE Ulduar10, and I even still like Naxx
I'm looking for a guild that does their raiding up to 22.30-23.00 server time max. Any later and I turn into a vegetable at work...
I'm looking for a guild where the average age is 25+, with people that have work, kids, families.
I'm looking for a guild where fun is more important than progress, but where progress is still important too (no progress = NOT fun after all)
I'm looking for a guild where the people in it are at least skilled players, preferably with lots of blog-readers (in my old guild NOONE read any blogs)
I'm looking for a guild with a transparent loot system e.g. EPGP. I dont like whispered bids or fixed prices, I've seen too much drama come from that.
And finally, I'm looking for a guild where guild chat is not entirely dead, where people are not elitists, where rules are not so strict that you feel you're in the military/bureaucratic lawyer firm.
I can only afford 1 of my chars to transfer though (for now).
I love tanking, i love dpsing on my rogue and i like healing/dpsing on my shaman. I dont really have a preference.
My Guild history:
Drunk Dragons - Kul Tiras-EU: my home, my "birth-place" of all things wow, my clan, my community. I am and always will be a dragon, whichever game i play, due to it being a multi-game community. Here i learned all about being an officer, and being a GM. This is where my rogue shined. Alas..the wow-part of it has shriveled and died, the guild is a name-holder and an alt-holder, an empty shell of what it once was. A big argument with 2 officers led to it semi-disbanding. People have moved on, and the few good friends i love playing with have quit playing. After the semi-disband back in July, i transferred my shaman away. I couldn't deal with being on Kul Tiras for a long time after the heated emotional fight that had happened.
Evil Orange - Kilrogg-EU: The place i transferred to, an all-dutch guild where one of my RL friends is playing. Similar to Drunk Dragons, yet so very very different at the same time. I've raided here for 3 months, but there are too many issues i disagree with and which are unacceptable to me...the stubbornness of not "evolving" along with the game, sticking with the same dkp table and dkp rules since Naxx, the strict rules of 4 nights a week raiding, not being rewarded/motivated for ideas/events. Every idea or suggestion being torn down, arguments during raids...too much to handle. It has caused me to lose my will to raid early on. I dont think ive logged into that realm/guild for the past 3 months. Oh, and everything being in dutch is something i never got used to either.
illuminati - Kul Tiras-EU: The guild my rogue is in at the moment as a casual member. I went there together with 3 friends to raid, but the raiding schedule is too much for me. They are a very friendly bunch of people, but my 3 friends have quit playing and i dont know anyone there. Their focus is 25-mans, and strict progression raiding so i've not been motivated to raid there either. It just doesnt feel "right" there..
Character names:
Rogue, Assassination/Combat, Night Elf - Caelis, on Kul Tiras-EU (my "home" server)
Shaman, Resto/Elemental, Draenai - Riccah, on Kilrogg-EU
Warrior, Prot/Arms, Draenai - Mandorellan, on Kul Tiras-EU
Feel free to ask anything you want to know. Who knows...maybe SAN will help me find a new home....and if not...it was worth the try. And maybe i'll get cold feet and be too afraid to server transfer
And apologies for the massive wall of text...
