I was wondering, I have seen in other blog communities the creation of a feed which combines the latest posts from all the members of the 'community' or topic. A lot of blogs in these communities would display the feed on their site, and it generated a lot of traffic and intercommunity debates. I think it is done by using something like a google bundle or feedburner, but I'm not completely sure how yet. We can probably filter it so that only posts with 'SAN' in get included, but I'm not sure yet. Obviously we all have our person list of feeds of well liked blogs, but would y'all be interested in something like that for SAN blogs? Would you put the feed on your blog, or just add it to your feed reader? Such a thing would need someone to maintain it, something I'm happy to do if no one else wants to. Edit: I made a sample feed here: xfruits.com/mentalshaman/?id=95920 which include RO, Miss Medicina and Larisa. Obviously xfruits is a little too simplistic for this, as the website doesn't allow any way to filter keywords, or give details about the SAN project in the way that a feed header normally does. Although I suspect feedburner can add those things that are missing. Obviously this would be opt-in (and the above is just an example that I will be deleting) as I wouldn't want to publically syndicate someone who wasn't aware of it.

I was actually thinking about something like this, but I was too lazy to follow through I think it's a very good idea... Maybe one feed with all of SAN, and 2 smaller, separate ones for US and EU? No offense to anyone, I also read US blogs, but I'd like to know the EU people better, since I can actually interact with them in game.

Sure, I can do 3, and use feedburner to keep a consistent url and add nice information to each feed. I imagine the separate ones would be used purely in readers, and the overall one would be listed on people's websites. feedburner url: feeds.feedburner.com/SingleAbstractNounI will look into finding a different aggregator that very definitely displays the blog name and author with each post in the feed, because the current one isn't acceptable imho.

It's a cool idea but I don't know if it's one I'd use personally, to be honest. I quite like being able to pick and choose who I'm reading next -- so I can cut the hard stuff with something a little more light-hearted.
That's just me, though.

Well, it's not so much to use as personal blog roll, as to help spread the word about each others blogs. If someone like Tobold, Larisa or Tam (or Miss Med) would start this up and link the roll, it would basically show the last 5 posts from people who belong to the feed on their blog. This is nice/good for the smaller, lesser known people on the feed, but not so useful to the 'luminaries', and I don't even know if any of the luminaries want to participate An EU/US version could be used as a personal blog roll, I suspect. I'm going to experiment with pipes and see if I can at least filter it so only 'SAN' posts show up. Again, current feeds are only included at the moment because the feed isn't publically linked to yet. If you are interested in being included on the SAN-o-Sphere feed, let me know and I'll include you

I just want to plug that feed in my reader without having to individually go to 50 websites. I suspect that after a while I'd weed out the blogs I don't like/that talk about other classes and I'd still have a healthy dose of new subscriptions. (I don't mind being linked; feel free to abuse my blog in any way )

Sign me up and let me know where to find the finished project. I am absolutely useless when it comes to RSS do-hickies. Boards, ok, RSS /hides.
