Hi folks ! As we all rolled new characters, especially shamans, I was wondering if there was any lowbie guides around. I'd be very interested in a Shaman 101 guide... I know I could do some research and eventually find one but I'd rather promote SAN guides. ;D If you have any guide you think could be useful, please share ! I'll try to update this post. I know Jaedia made a nice Lowbie Hunter guide on her blog.

I could write a short guide on how to level as a Prot Warrior... Although it's really easy.
1. Your best ability is Revenge, once talented. 2. Use Thunder Clap to hold AoE aggro, although you might want to tab targets and apply Sunder Armors if your group is AoE happy or firing at different mobs. 3. Always make sure your gear is up to par. This is always important for a warrior - we are possibly the most gear dependent class in the game. 4. You have a lot of cooldowns to burn. First one you get is Shield Block. Talented, that can have a 40 second cooldown. Shield Block allows you to block every hit - which means 100% Revenge. Then you have Last Stand, which has a 3 min cooldown (2 min glyphed). After that, you get Shield Wall. 5 min cooldown (-2 min glyphed, -1 min talented). So use them. They allow you to solo multiple mobs at once, and take on eliteS by yourself. 5. Before Warbringer, create a macro to Charge and cast Defensive Stance. This allows you to Charge any mob in Battle Stance, after which you can immediately swap to Defensive Stance - after level 20, this means an instant 10 Rage at the start of each fight.
There's really not much to it though. >_> It's kind of faceroll...

I've got a Something Awful account, find them quite reliable for levelling guides though you have to pay for the account so I can't link here sadly (somebody gave me one). Psynister writes a lot of pretty thorough levelling guides. I recommend taking a look there definitely. Aaand Bossy Pally put up a pretty nice guide for 'lowish level tanking'. May be a little high for most at the moment BUT it's awesome. Also, Almar's Guides is a particular favourite of mine, alongside WoW Professions. Both good if you ever get stuck for ideas Cranky, you are one of the most efficient people I have seen for compilations of links and information! Love for that <3

While not guides per se, Coriel had some posts incl. discussion about lowbie prot warriors. I've already pointed someone in /g there some days ago.

I can throw together a Shaman 101 post, as I'm actually using Uvkasha (as my second shaman) to put one together! If I'm not raiding tonight I'll put some work in on it.
