Hey.. I have been using link lists to follow blogs around but have somewhat hit a wall with it. Sometimes i Miss things cos i forget to check a Blog, sometimes i catch the Same post Ten Times. So , i am curious which Feed Reader you can recommend. There are two tiny complications though - I want to be able to read offline - I need one for windows ( work pc ) and one for macos.

Agreed. Google Reader was a godsend for me. Started using it to keep track of my online comics (I used to only read my comics twice a year because I couldn't be bothered to check them for updates every day) and I really got into reading WoW blogs when I realized I could add them to my reader too.
Of course, it led directly to me spending more time on Google Reader than on WoW, but you know, it's just as much fun ^_^

I use Google Reader (haven't tried the offline mode, so I don't know about that). I used to have FeedReader and Omea - both work in offline mode. Omea seemed kinda bloaty to me. I haven't used either in a while, but here's the urls: www.feedreader.com/www.jetbrains.com/omea/reader/

I use Google Reader at work and NetNewsWire (NNW) at home on the Mac, Google and NNW sync so you never read things twice. There are also PC clients that sync with Google. www.newsgator.com/individuals/default.aspx. I have no stock options, just a happy customer.

I use google reader. It's incredibly easy. You can add something to your feed reader without actually going to the site (take THAT work!). Simply copy the URL and do "add a subscription" within your feed reader. You can make folders for your stuff (druid, etc).
And here's the best part. When I say to myself "oh crap, I read this article blah blah can't find it" I just do a search and it pops up right quick. I use the "starred post" feature to save articles for later that I want to write about or link.

I use bloglines which works well for me, sounds similar to google reader really! At least, it tracks all the blogs I read (which is becoming a LOT thanks to SAN ), highlights new posts and uh... well that's about it really. Nowt fancy but then I'm a simple gal *edit* hmm I'm not sure it has an offline mode, maybe I should investigte...

Thanks for the suggestions.
I have a deep aversion against google, so i have started with NNW to see how that goes. I'll keep you updated on this.

I also use Google Reader - it does mean that Google continues to know everything about you ever but, hey, I'm used to it. It already likely has my soul...

I use Bloglines too, it's the first one I clicked on when I was wondering what those strange apparently necessary orange buttons did it's worked for me well enough for the past year, has some nice things like folders and being able to "clip" a blog post, aka bookmark it within the reader, saving bookmark clutter.

Anyone have and recommendations for an offline reader for the iphone (or rather the glorified ipod touch that mine is at the minute (involved unlocking only half done story - not important or know if I can configure the google reader to work offline on it? As every time I fire it up it tries to connect which isn't much use on the train on the way to / from work.

I use one called "Free RSS reader" for my iphone. Very simple, but does the job just fine.
