Well. I really never thought I'd be doing this, but I think I need a new home for my raiding. I have been with the same group of people for 3.5 years (in a few various re-incarnations of basically the same guild) but I think it might be getting toward time to move on.
I am a Mum, I raid. I raid when my daughter is in bed, so after 21.30 game time. I now work full time as well, so can't play too late on work nights or I suffer the next day. Server time of 00:30 is probably late enough, with the odd later progression push being OK. I prefer not to raid every night or more than 2 nights on the run.
I play a Human priest. I was always Holy, but have recently really enjoyed playing as Disc. I have dual healing specs. I don’t do damage. I will never be Shadow. My armory link is … eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Kor%27gall&cn=Sephrenia
I’ve raided practically everywhere recently. I used to raid MC and BWL on my rogue, but I found healing and have not looked back! On Seph, I’ve done it all apart from finishing BT and doing the Sunwell thing.
Currently I’m in a strict 10 man raiding guild and have cleared 10/12 in ICC, and had one evening on Sindragosa. Now, we are struggling now to get raids going. People seem to have all the loot they want and have stopped signing. I feel like I’m being starved of atmosphere. Folks seem happy to wait until Cataclysm comes out. I don’t want to sit back and wait. I want to carry on having fun, raiding, wiping, etc. It’s my version of going out with mates to the pub.
We suffered from the same thing in Ulduar – once we’d done it people stopped signing and didn’t seem to want to push themselves in Heroic modes. Same in TOTC. We killed Jaraxxus on Heroic and then interest waned. I paid to get myself through Ulduar hard modes because I wanted the experience (and the mount, which will probably be taken out of the game) – wow it was fun! I would have preferred to do it with my friends.
My gear is good, my dedication is good, I have enough cash and knowledge of how to make it to be self sufficient. I want a group of people I can be friends with, who are not stopping to wait for Cataclysm. I’d prefer 10 man raiding, but guess I can get back into 25 man stuff again if I find the right place. I can stay Alliance, or become Horde, but prefer Alliance really I think. I know how to play my class - hey - I'm a blogger - I read extensively
I’m not sure there is a guild out there that would fit, but if anyone knows of anything, please let me know. I may change my mind, chicken out, but am exploring all my options, working it all out mentally, doing my homework....
Hugs,
A somewhat sad Seph.
